Installation Notes

Installation typically takes 30-45 minutes if you take your time and do it right. Start by noting the exact routing of your old cable—improper routing causes premature failure. Avoid sharp bends that restrict the inner cable’s rotation, and make sure both ends seat fully. At the gauge end, tighten the retaining nut finger-tight plus a quarter turn—over-tightening damages the gauge mechanism. A bit of light oil on the cable ends during installation ensures smooth operation from day one.
