Description
When you’re working with modern Cummins and Deutz engines, water contamination in your diesel fuel isn’t just a minor issue—it’s a fast track to expensive injection pump and injector damage. Modern diesel injection systems operate at extremely high pressures with very tight tolerances, making them sensitive to both water contamination and fine particles that older engines could tolerate. This fuel water separator uses advanced filtration technology that not only removes solid contaminants but also separates water from the fuel stream before it can reach your injection pump and injectors. This Baldwin replacement gets you back to clean, dry fuel delivery when contamination problems threaten to shut you down.
What You’re Getting
- Water-in-fuel sensor port with M14 x 2.0 thread that alerts you to moisture problems before they cause damage
- Standpipe design with furnished O-ring seal that prevents fuel bypass and maintains proper filtration
- 10 1/32 inch length and 3 11/16 inch outer diameter sized specifically for Cummins and Deutz applications
- 1-14 thread mount for secure installation and leak-free operation in demanding conditions
- Built specifically for use with Deutz square sensor design—not interchangeable with similar filters
Built for Real Farm Work
This separator handles the challenging fuel conditions you’ll find in farm-stored diesel, off-road equipment, and construction machinery powered by Cummins engines. Water contamination in diesel fuel is one of the biggest threats to your Case tractor’s injection system, and this fuel water separator filter is your first line of defense against the moisture that can destroy expensive injectors and fuel pumps. Whether you’re dealing with condensation from temperature changes, contaminated fuel deliveries, or water accumulation in storage tanks, this spin-on filter removes both water and debris before they can reach your engine’s precision fuel system components.
Made to Last
Baldwin has been making filters for decades, and they know what it takes to handle farm conditions. The filter media is designed to trap water and particles while maintaining proper fuel flow, and the housing stands up to temperature swings and engine vibration. The sensor port threading and standpipe construction are built to maintain their seal under pressure cycling and temperature changes.
Good to Know
Installation requires proper O-ring placement on the standpipe post for an effective seal—this isn’t optional with this design. The M14 x 2.0 sensor thread is specifically engineered for Deutz square sensors and won’t work with other sensor types. Check for water accumulation in the filter bowl regularly, especially during periods of high humidity or temperature cycling that can cause condensation in fuel tanks. Prime the fuel system properly after filter changes to avoid air pockets that can cause hard starting or rough running.
