Description
Nothing takes the wind out of a good restoration project faster than realizing your old Fordson Dexta looks weathered and tired despite all the mechanical work you’ve put into it. Faded, peeling decals that you can barely read anymore make even the most reliable tractor look neglected. This complete decal kit brings your classic Dexta back to its original sharp appearance, giving you that satisfaction of seeing your hard work pay off in a tractor that looks as good as it runs.
What You’re Getting
- Complete kit includes all major decals needed for full restoration
- Heavy-duty vinyl construction designed to handle the punishment farm equipment takes – scorching sun, freezing winters, power washing, and the occasional brush with tree branches
- Authentic colors and fonts that match original factory specifications
- Materials resist fading from sun exposure and won’t peel from temperature changes while holding up against contact with diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, and common farm chemicals
Built for Real Farm Work
The Fordson Dexta was a compact utility tractor that earned its keep on smaller farms and as a support tractor for larger operations. Whether your Dexta handled hay operations, loader work, or general farm chores, these tractors were known for their reliability and economy. Many are still working today, often passed down through generations, making proper restoration important for maintaining that family pride.
Made to Last
These aren’t those cheap stickers that start peeling after one summer – they’re manufactured with materials specifically chosen for agricultural applications that resist fading from UV exposure, won’t peel from temperature changes, and hold up against contact with diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, and common farm chemicals. The laminated surface provides extra protection while maintaining the crisp appearance that makes your tractor look like it just rolled off the dealer lot.
Installation Notes
Apply decals when it’s between 60-80°F if possible, on clean, dry surfaces after removing old decals completely and cleaning any adhesive residue with appropriate solvents. Take your time with placement – these decals stick permanently once applied, so measure twice and apply once, working out air bubbles as you go while avoiding stretching the decals during installation. Pro tip: spray the surface with slightly soapy water before applying to let you slide the decal into perfect position before squeegeeing out the water and securing it permanently.
