Installation Notes

This is a job for someone with differential experience—you’ll need to completely disassemble the front axle housing and set up the gear mesh pattern properly with dial indicators and marking compound. Getting the backlash and bearing preload right is critical for long gear life. While you’re in there, it’s a good time to replace the axle seals and change the differential fluid.
