Good to Know

This is a direct spin-on replacement—no adapters or modifications needed. Put a light coat of clean oil on the gasket before installation, then hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the base, plus another 3/4 turn. If you’ve got an OB40079 filter base, this filter works with that setup too.
