Description
There’s nothing worse than watching your temperature gauge climb toward the red while you’re in the middle of a critical job. The water pump inlet hose is under constant suction, pulling coolant from the radiator. When it ages and softens, it can collapse internally, restricting flow even though it looks fine from the outside. This replacement inlet hose keeps your coolant flowing properly so your Case IHC stays running cool when the work gets hot.
What You’re Getting
- This isn’t just radiator hose cut to length – it’s specifically designed for the water pump inlet application. The reinforced construction maintains its shape under the strong suction created by the water pump, preventing the collapse that causes mysterious overheating issues.
- The rubber compound resists the deterioration caused by hot coolant, oil contamination, and the ozone that attacks rubber in engine compartments.
- Pre-formed bends match your tractor’s routing, preventing kinks that restrict flow.
- Direct replacement that fits like the original factory hose
Built for Real Farm Work
These Case IHC tractors from the 84, 85, and 95 series are workhorses that handle everything from loader work around the farmstead to field operations and hay production. Whether you’re running a 485 on utility chores or pushing your 895 through heavy tillage, these machines generate serious heat under load. The 3000 and 4000 series utility tractors bring even more power to demanding applications.
Made to Last
These 45-65 horsepower machines generate plenty of heat, especially when working a loader hard or running PTO equipment in summer heat. This hose is built to handle those temperature swings and the constant flexing that comes with hard farm use. You’ll get years of reliable service from this replacement.
Installation Notes
Replacing an inlet hose means draining the cooling system, so have containers ready and plan the job accordingly. The old hose is probably stuck tight after years of heat cycles – twist while pulling rather than just yanking. A thin coat of coolant on the hose ends makes installation easier and helps seal minor imperfections. While you’re at it, this is a great time to check your other cooling system hoses and flush the system if the coolant looks questionable.
