Description
When you need to connect two shafts that aren’t perfectly aligned, a flexible coupling gets the job done without the headache. This L100 series coupling body end handles the power transfer while absorbing the vibration and slight misalignment that comes with farm equipment operation. One coupling body end is just half the story though—you’ll need two of these plus the rubber spider insert to make a complete coupling assembly.
What You’re Getting
- Tough sintered iron construction that stands up to years of farm use
- One-inch bore with hollow head setscrews for secure shaft attachment
- No lubrication required—one less maintenance item on your list
- Works with the L100 spider to accommodate slight shaft misalignment and dampen vibration
Built for Real Farm Work
This coupling body end is sized for mid-range power applications you’ll find on augers, conveyors, grain handling equipment, and other machinery where you need reliable power transmission. The L100 series hits that sweet spot for equipment that works hard but doesn’t need the heavy-duty specs of larger industrial applications.
Made to Last
The sintered iron construction creates a dense, durable coupling body that won’t crack or wear out under normal farm conditions. The hollow head setscrews provide more contact area than regular screws, distributing the clamping force better and reducing the chance of shaft damage.
Installation Notes
Remember, this is just one half of the coupling—you’ll need two coupling body ends plus the rubber spider (sold separately) to complete the assembly. The spider accommodates up to 1 degree of angular misalignment and 0.015 inches of parallel misalignment, so slight shaft alignment issues won’t cause problems. Make sure both shafts are clean and burr-free before installation for the best grip.
