Description
There’s nothing more frustrating than finding a growing puddle of oil under your trusty Dexta. What starts as a few drops after you shut down quickly becomes a mess that wastes expensive oil and makes your shop floor slippery. Worse yet, losing oil means your engine isn’t getting the protection it needs, and these classic British tractors are too valuable to let that happen.
What You’re Getting
- Materials specifically chosen for each application with exact specifications for proper fit
- Components that resist hot oil degradation and temperature cycling
- Complete set includes all seals needed for oil pan service
- Direct replacement gaskets that install without modifications or trimming
Built for Real Farm Work
Ford Dexta and Super Dexta tractors are small-farm legends perfect for orchard work, mowing between buildings, lighter cultivation, and pulling wagons. These vintage tractors from the 1950s and 1960s were workhorses of British agriculture, used for general farming operations including field cultivation, hay making, and livestock management. Your Dexta might be compact, but it’s built to work every day.
Made to Last
Not all gaskets are created equal – this set uses materials specifically chosen for each application. The gaskets are engineered to handle the constant temperature swings these air-cooled engines see, from cold morning starts to running hot during afternoon work. Materials resist the degrading effects of hot oil and temperature cycling that cause cheaper gaskets to fail prematurely.
Installation Notes
Replacing sump gaskets is messy but manageable. Oil system capacity is typically 6.8 liters for the sump, so have plenty of drain pans ready. Clean both the oil pan and engine block surfaces thoroughly – any old gasket material will cause leaks. These vintage tractors often have limited ground clearance, so you might need to get creative with your workspace setup.
