Description
When you’re out baling hay or cultivating and your alternator starts acting up, you know you’re looking at a potential day-killer. Modern tractors rely heavily on electrical systems for everything from fuel injection to hydraulics, and when your alternator fails, you’re running on battery power alone – which won’t last long with today’s electrical demands. The alternator warning light gives you advance notice so you can finish your current task and get the tractor to the shop before you’re completely dead in the field. This MAHLE alternator gets your charging system back to keeping up with all those electrical demands.
What You’re Getting
- Built by MAHLE, the original equipment supplier for many Case IHC tractors – you’re getting the same quality that came from the factory
- Proper charging output to handle all your tractor’s electrical needs, from lights and gauges to hydraulic pumps and electronic controls
- Direct bolt-on replacement that uses your existing wiring and mounting points
- Internal voltage regulator keeps your charging system stable across different engine RPMs
Built for Real Farm Work
This alternator fits a wide range of Case IHC tractors from the smaller 43 and 44 series utility models up through the bigger 55 and 56 series row-crop tractors, plus the newer CS series machines. Whether you’re running a compact tractor for loader work around the farmyard or a larger machine for fieldwork, these tractors all depend on a reliable charging system to keep their electrical components running properly.
Made to Last
MAHLE builds alternators for some of the toughest conditions in agriculture, where dust, vibration, and temperature extremes are just part of the job. The internal components are designed to handle the constant speed changes and electrical loads that come with farm work, from PTO operations to hydraulic-intensive tasks.
Good to Know
Check your alternator belt tension first if you’re having charging problems – a loose belt can cause alternator issues. When installing, make sure your battery is disconnected and double-check all your connections are clean and tight. A little dielectric grease on the electrical connections helps prevent corrosion down the road.
