Description
Your power steering is one of those systems you don’t appreciate until it stops working. This priority valve is the unsung hero that ensures your steering always gets the hydraulic flow it needs, even when you’re running other hydraulic functions like your loader or three-point hitch. When this valve fails, you’ll quickly discover just how tough it is to maneuver a heavy tractor without power assist – especially with a loader up front.

- Direct replacement that fits right where your old valve came out
- All the necessary ports and fittings to hook up properly to your hydraulic system

- Professional-grade construction that’ll keep your steering working reliably
Built for Real Farm Work
If you’re running a Ford New Holland 10 Series tractor – models like the 5110, 5610, 6410, 6610, 6710, 6810, 7610, 7710, 7810, 7910, or 8210 – this priority valve is critical for safe operation. These tractors are popular choices for everything from row crop farming and hay operations to loader work and general farm maintenance. When you’re maneuvering around tight spaces, backing up to implements, or operating on slopes, having reliable power steering isn’t just convenient – it’s essential for safety.
How It Works
Here’s what this valve does for you: it takes the hydraulic flow from your main pump and automatically sends the first portion to your power steering system. Only after the steering gets what it needs does the remaining flow go to your other hydraulic functions. This means your steering always works properly, even when you’re running your loader, three-point hitch, or other hydraulic implements at the same time.
Installation Notes
This priority valve is designed specifically for Ford New Holland 10 Series tractors with power steering systems. It mounts between your hydraulic pump and the steering circuit, typically located near the steering column or under the platform. This valve body does NOT include the internal valve spool (part QTP-4313), which is sold separately. You’ll also need to check your O-rings and seals during installation – the related O-ring parts are QTP-42268, QTP-42267, QTP-409894, and QTP-2193.
