Description
Nothing ruins a good day in the field like a clutch pedal that goes to the floor or won’t disengage properly. When your Fiat 115-90 or 180-90F starts giving you trouble shifting gears or the pedal feels spongy, it’s usually this master cylinder calling for replacement. The master cylinder converts your foot pedal pressure into hydraulic pressure that operates the clutch. When internal seals fail or the cylinder bore wears, you lose this hydraulic advantage. Symptoms include a spongy pedal, clutch slippage under load, difficulty shifting, or complete loss of clutch control.
What You’re Getting
- Complete assembly with reservoir bottle included—no need to track down extra parts
- LHM mineral oil compatibility—specifically requires LHM mineral oil, not standard brake fluid for these specialized systems
- Precise 32.5mm stroke that matches your tractor’s clutch requirements perfectly
- Quality seals engineered to handle thousands of pressure cycles without leaking
Built for Farm Work
Your Fiat 115-90 and 180-90F tractors are workhorses designed for serious agricultural operations, from heavy tillage work to loader operations. These machines need reliable clutch operation to handle everything from row crop farming to livestock management. The hydraulic clutch system makes operating these powerful tractors much easier than old mechanical linkages, but it requires the right components to keep working properly.
Made to Last
LHM (Liquide Hydraulique Minéral) is a green-tinted mineral oil that’s compatible with the special seals in this system. This master cylinder is built specifically for LHM systems, using seals and materials that won’t deteriorate from exposure to this specialized fluid. Using the wrong fluid destroys seals quickly, leading to rapid failure.
Installation Notes
Installation typically takes 1-2 hours for someone comfortable working with hydraulic systems. Always drain the old fluid first and use fresh LHM mineral oil when bleeding the system. Bench-bleed the new cylinder before installation to remove air and speed up final bleeding. After installation, bleed the entire system thoroughly – air bubbles cause spongy operation and incomplete clutch release. While you’re at it, inspect your slave cylinder since master and slave cylinders often wear together.
