Description
When your Fendt’s brake pedal starts feeling mushy or you’re having to pump it to get decent stopping power, that slave cylinder is likely giving up the ghost. This critical component converts the hydraulic pressure from your brake master cylinder into the mechanical force that actually stops your tractor, and when it fails, you’re looking at dangerously long stopping distances or worse.
What You’re Getting
- Uses DOT 3 brake fluid – the standard fluid for most tractor brake systems
- Robust construction designed to withstand thousands of pressure cycles and demanding agricultural conditions
- Precision-honed bore maintains consistent brake pressure and smooth pedal feel
- Quality seals resist the heat cycles and contamination that come with farm work
- Direct replacement – no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
Your Farmer 105 or 106 is the backbone of your operation – whether you’re running a tedder through windrows, pulling a cultivator through tough soil, or operating a mixer wagon around the farmstead. These medium-duty tractors handle diverse agricultural operations including row-crop farming, livestock management, hay production, and transport duties, where reliable braking is essential for safe operation during sharp turns, emergency stops, and hillside operations.
Made to Last
Fendt tractors are known for precision engineering, and this slave cylinder maintains those high standards. The robust housing won’t crack under pressure like cheaper alternatives might, and the internal components are carefully engineered to handle the constant heat cycles and pressure variations that come with real farm work.
Installation Notes
Before you start, make sure you have fresh DOT 3 brake fluid on hand – you’ll need to bleed the system after installation. Bleed the system thoroughly to remove all air – any bubbles will cause spongy pedal feel and poor brake operation. While you’re in there, inspect the entire hydraulic system, check the master cylinder for leaks, examine hydraulic lines for cracks or damage, and ensure the brake pedal linkage moves freely.
